Lead capture

Capture every lead you meet, in Arabic and English

SEL XP captures a lead from a business card, a QR code, a badge or a quick note. A card is read by AI in about ten seconds: the name in Latin and Arabic letters, job title, company, email and mobile. Anything it is unsure of is marked for you to check, and with no signal the lead still saves.

What it does

What you get

  • Arabic and English on the same card

Names are kept in both scripts. An Arabic name goes in the Arabic name field, not into the Latin one.

  • Doubtful fields are marked

A field read without confidence says so: “Check this: read with 62% confidence”. What you typed yourself is never overwritten.

  • Batch scan a stack

Keep the camera open and photograph card after card. They wait under Cards to review, already filled in.

  • QR codes and badges

Reads vCard, MECARD and LinkedIn codes. A code it cannot open, such as an encrypted badge, is kept with the lead while you add the name.

  • Voice notes, transcribed

Record up to two minutes after the conversation. The transcript is marked as made by AI and joins your notes only when you say so.

  • No signal, no problem

Captures are saved and encrypted on the phone and send themselves when the signal returns, even after you close the app.

How it works

Step by step

From the first tap to a qualified lead, on one screen.

  1. 01

Tap Quick, then Scan a card

The Quick button is on every screen. Hold it to go straight to the camera.

  2. 02

    Photograph the card

Front first. Add the back if it has more details. The review form opens at once.

  3. 03

    Check what was read

Fields fill in as the reading arrives. The ones marked “Check this” need a second look.

  4. 04

    Qualify with a few taps

Product interest, timeline, role and next action. The score updates as you tap.

  5. 05

Save, or save and follow up

Save only, or go straight to the follow-up screen with the email and WhatsApp ready.

In detail

The parts people ask about

Offline is normal, never an error

Plant rooms, basements and exhibition halls have no signal. The app keeps its own encrypted copy of your leads, tasks and check-ins, so Today, Leads and Tasks open with nothing but the phone. What you capture waits in a queue and sends itself later.

  • Leads, voice notes, tasks and check-outs all queue
  • Sealed on the phone with AES-GCM encryption
  • Each item is stored once, even if it is sent twice

Arabic is a first language, not a translation

The whole app runs in Arabic, right to left, with the same care as the English. Reps switch language whenever they like, and a lead's name is kept in Arabic and Latin letters side by side.

Two colleagues, one visitor

While you type, the app looks across your whole workspace for the same email, the same phone, or a similar name at the same company. If a colleague has met this person before, you see who and where, and you choose whether to add today's visit to their lead.

  • Works across every company in a group
  • Tells the first owner you met their contact
  • Also asks your CRM who looks after them

Good to know

What it does not do yet, said plainly

  • A card needs a connection to be read at once. With no signal you type the name or simply save: the photo is kept, read when the phone is back online, and the extra details are offered to you, never applied on their own.
  • Card reading is done by an AI model set to keep nothing after it answers. Our own checks then drop anything that cannot be an email or a phone number.
  • Card photos are private and are removed after 90 days by default. What was read stays with the lead.
  • Reading QR codes and badges uses the browser's own code reader, which Android and desktop Chrome have. On iPhone it arrives with the App Store app.

Questions

Lead capture: what people ask

Can it read Arabic business cards?

Yes. SEL XP reads cards printed in Arabic, English or both. The name is kept in Arabic and in Latin letters, and fields the reader is unsure of are marked so you can correct them before saving.

What happens when there is no internet in the exhibition hall?

The lead still saves. It is encrypted on the phone and sent when the signal returns, even if you have closed the app. A card photographed offline is read once the phone is online, and the details it finds are offered to you to add.

Can it scan exhibition badges?

It reads QR codes that hold contact details in an open format: vCard, MECARD and LinkedIn profile codes. Some organisers encrypt their badges so that only their own app can read them. In that case SEL XP keeps the code with the lead and you type the name.

How accurate is the card reading?

It depends on the card: glare, folds, small print and handwriting all matter. That is why the app shows every field it read, marks the ones it is unsure of with a confidence figure, and waits for a person to approve before anything is saved.

How long does it take to capture a lead?

The app is designed so that one person can scan a card, check it, qualify the lead and send the follow-up in about 30 seconds. The card reading itself takes about ten seconds, and you can keep tapping while it arrives.

Does it work on iPhone and Android?

Yes. Today SEL XP runs as a web app that you install from the browser on iPhone, Android, Windows and Mac. App Store and Google Play apps are on the way.
